Subaru Legacy Service Manual: Disassembly

1. RADIATOR MAIN FAN AND MAIN FAN MOTOR

1. Disengage the clip securing the connector of the radiator main fan motor to the radiator fan shroud, and remove the radiator main fan motor harness from the clips (A).

2. Remove the radiator main fan from the radiator main fan motor.

3. Remove the radiator main fan motor from the radiator fan shroud.

2. RADIATOR SUB FAN AND RADIATOR SUB FAN MOTOR

1. Disengage the clip securing the connector of the radiator sub fan motor to the radiator fan shroud, and remove the radiator sub fan motor harness from the clips (A).

2. Remove the radiator sub fan from the radiator sub fan motor.

3. Remove the radiator sub fan motor from the radiator fan shroud.

3. RADIATOR FAN SHROUD

1. Remove the radiator main fan and radiator main fan motor. Radiator Fan and Fan Motor Assembly > DISASSEMBLY

2. Remove the radiator sub fan and radiator sub fan motor. Radiator Fan and Fan Motor Assembly > DISASSEMBLY

Inspection
Check that the radiator fan, radiator fan shroud and fan motor do not have deformation, cracks or damage. ...
