DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

Change of sector SW cannot be detected.

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

Auto-operation does not function.

STEP	CHECK	YES	NO
1.CHECK CURRENT DATA. 1) Using the operation switch, fully open the power rear gate. 2) Turn the ignition switch to ON. 3) Check «SECTOR SW» using the Subaru Select Monitor. Read Current Data	Does the «SECTOR SW» indicate ON-	Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again. NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.	Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2516 SECTOR SW
2.CHECK SECTOR SW. 1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF. 2) Disconnect the PRG CM connector in the order of (R423) > (R422). 3) Disconnect the PRG auto closer connector. 4) Check the sector SW. Power Rear Gate Auto Closer > INSPECTION	Is the sector switch normal-	Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2516 SECTOR SW	Replace the PRG auto closer. 3.CHECK HARNESS (GROUND SHORT CIRCUIT). Measure the resistance between PRG CM connector and chassis ground. Connector & terminal (R422) No. 5 — Chassis ground: (R422) No. 9 — Chassis ground:	Is the resistance 1 M- or more-	Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B2516 SECTOR SW	Repair or replace the short circuit of the harness.
4.CHECK PRG CM (OPEN CIRCUIT). Measure the resistance between PRG CM connector and PRG auto closer connector. Connector & terminal (R422) No. 5 — (D153) No. 6:	Is the resistance 10 - or less-	Replace the PRG CM. Power Rear Gate Control Module	Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.
