DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

A fault is detected if the vehicle type information obtained from ECM via communication is different from the parameter setting information.

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

• ABS does not operate.

• VDC does not operate.

• Hill hold does not function.

• EyeSight does not operate. (Models with EyeSight)

NOTE:

When parameter selection for VDCCM is improper, this DTC may be memorized.

1.CHECK VDCCM&H/U IDENTIFICATION SYMBOL. Check the identification symbol attached on the H/U. General Description > SPECIFICATION	Is the identification symbol correct-	Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC C1423 DIFFERENT ECU SPECIFICATIONS	Replace the VDCCM&H/U. VDC Control Module and Hydraulic Control Unit (VDCCM&H/U)
2.CHECK PARAMETER SELECTED IN VDCCM. VDC Control Module and Hydraulic Control Unit (VDCCM&H/U) > MAINTENANCE MODE	Does the parameter registered in the VDCCM match the relevant vehicle-	CVT model: Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC C1423 DIFFERENT ECU SPECIFICATIONS MT model: Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC C1423 DIFFERENT ECU SPECIFICATIONS	Select and register the correct parameter. VDC Control Module and Hydraulic Control Unit (VDCCM&H/U) > MAINTENANCE MODE
