Subaru Legacy BN/BS (2015-2019) Service Manual: Dtc b1762 occupant detection module calibration not initialized

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

«Rezero» of the occupant detection system is not completed normally.

Occupant detection control module is faulty.

STEPCHECKYESNO

1.CHECK DTC.

Read the DTC of the occupant detection system. Read Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)

Are DTCs other than DTC B1762 displayed for the occupant detection system-

Perform the diagnosis according to DTC. List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)

Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B1762 OCCUPANT DETECTION MODULE CALIBRATION NOT INITIALIZED

2.PERFORM RE-ZEROING.

Perform «Rezero». Rezero

Did «Rezero» complete properly-

Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B1762 OCCUPANT DETECTION MODULE CALIBRATION NOT INITIALIZED

Replace the occupant detection system (seat cushion & frame assembly). Front Seat > DISASSEMBLY

3.CHECK DTC.

1) Perform the Clear Memory Mode. Clear Memory Mode

2) Turn the ignition switch to OFF, and wait for 60 seconds or more.

3) Read the DTC of the occupant detection system. Read Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)

Is DTC B1762 displayed-

Replace the occupant detection system (seat cushion & frame assembly). Front Seat > DISASSEMBLY

When DTC other than B1762 is displayed for the occupant detection system, perform the diagnosis according to the DTC. List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) When DTC is not displayed, end the diagnosis.
