Subaru Legacy BN/BS (2015-2019) Service Manual: Dtc b1795 occupant detection module internal circuit

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

When the following DTCs are detected:

B1763, B1764, B1765, B1766, B1767, B1768, B1769, B176A, B176B, B176C, B176D, B176E, B176F, B1770, B1772, B1776, B1777, B1778

NOTE:

DTC B1795 is detected at the same time when any of the DTCs above is detected. When the detected DTC is eliminated, DTC B1795 is cleared at the same time.

STEPCHECKYESNO

1.CHECK DTC.

Read the DTC of the occupant detection system. Read Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)

Is any of B1763, B1764, B1765, B1766, B1767, B1768, B1769, B176A, B176B, B176C, B176D, B176E, B176F, B1770, B1772, B1776, B1777, or B1778 displayed for the occupant detection system-

Perform the diagnosis according to DTC. List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)

Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC B1795 OCCUPANT DETECTION MODULE INTERNAL CIRCUIT

2.CHECK DTC.

1) Perform the Clear Memory Mode. Clear Memory Mode

2) Turn the ignition switch to OFF, and wait for 60 seconds or more.

3) Read the DTC of the occupant detection system. Read Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)

Is DTC B1795 displayed-

Replace the occupant detection system (seat cushion & frame assembly). Front Seat > DISASSEMBLY

When DTC other than B1795 is displayed for the occupant detection system, perform the diagnosis according to the DTC. List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) When DTC is not displayed, end the diagnosis.
