DETECTING CONDITION:

Defective combination meter

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

• When starting the engine, the electronic parking brake operation indicator light does not go off even when the electronic parking brake is released.

• When starting the engine, the hill hold indicator light does not go off even when the hill hold switch is deactivated.

1.CHECK INDICATOR LIGHT. 1) Start the engine. 2) Operate the electronic parking brake switch or hill hold switch.	Does the electronic parking brake operation indicator light or hill hold indicator light go off-	Normal	Warning Light Illumination Pattern > ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE INDICATOR LIGHT, HILL HOLD INDICATOR LIGHT DO NOT GO OFF
2.READ DTC. Read the DTC. Read Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)	Is DTC displayed-	Perform the diagnosis according to DTC. List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)	Warning Light Illumination Pattern > ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE INDICATOR LIGHT, HILL HOLD INDICATOR LIGHT DO NOT GO OFF
3.CHECK LAN SYSTEM. Perform the diagnosis for LAN system. Basic Diagnostic Procedure	Is there any fault in LAN system-	Perform the diagnosis according to DTC. List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)	Warning Light Illumination Pattern > ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE INDICATOR LIGHT, HILL HOLD INDICATOR LIGHT DO NOT GO OFF
4.CHECK VDCCM&H/U. Connect the Subaru Select Monitor, and display the current data of VDCCM with the engine started.	Is «Parking System Warning Light» ON-	Replace the VDCCM&H/U. VDC Control Module and Hydraulic Control Unit (VDCCM&H/U)	Warning Light Illumination Pattern > ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE INDICATOR LIGHT, HILL HOLD INDICATOR LIGHT DO NOT GO OFF
5.CHECK VDCCM&H/U. Connect the Subaru Select Monitor, and display the current data of VDCCM with the engine started.	When the hill hold switch is not operated after starting the engine, is the «Hill hold lamp» ON-	Replace the VDCCM&H/U. VDC Control Module and Hydraulic Control Unit (VDCCM&H/U)	Warning Light Illumination Pattern > ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE INDICATOR LIGHT, HILL HOLD INDICATOR LIGHT DO NOT GO OFF
6.CHECK COMBINATION METER. Check the combination meter. Combination Meter System > OPERATION	Is combination meter OK-	Replace the VDCCM&H/U. VDC Control Module and Hydraulic Control Unit (VDCCM&H/U)	Replace the combination meter. Combination Meter
