1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. NOTE 2. Remove the oil pressure switch from the oil pan upper. Oil Pressure Switch > REMOVAL 3. Attach the oil pressure gauge to the oil pan upper. 4. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. NOTE 5. Refill the engine oil. Engine Oil > REPLACEMENT 6. Start the engine, and check the oil pressure. NOTE: • If the oil pressure is out of specification, check oil pump, oil filter and lubrication line. Engine Lubrication System Trouble in General • If the oil pressure warning light is ON and oil pressure is within specification, check the oil pressure switch. Oil Pressure System Oil Pressure Switch Engine oil pressure (at oil temperature of 80°C (176°F)): Standard 100 kPa (1.0 kg/cm2, 15 psi) or more (at 700 r/min) 7. After inspection, install the related parts in the reverse order of removal. |
