1. TOUCH SENSOR UPR 1. Install the power rear gate touch sensor UPR. (1) Clean the bracket surface of the touch sensor UPR to remove dust and dirt fully. (2) Using a sponge, apply primer to the bracket surface of the touch sensor UPR that is not covered with masking tape. CAUTION: • Do not apply primer beyond masking tape. This may cause discolored touch sensor UPR bracket. • Dry the primered surface for approx. 10 minutes without touching it. Primer: 3M 4298-UV or equivalent (3) Install the touch sensor UPR. CAUTION: When affix the touch sensor UPR, do not use tools. 1. Affix a new touch sensor UPR along the masking tape. 2. Press-fit the touch sensor UPR securely and remove the masking tape. 2. Install the power rear gate touch sensor LWR. Power Rear Gate Touch Sensor > INSTALLATION 3. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. NOTE 2. TOUCH SENSOR LWR 1. Install the power rear gate touch sensor LWR. CAUTION: • Make sure the electrical connector is connected securely. • When installing the touch sensor LWR, be careful not to get the connector or harness crimped or deformed. Tightening torque: 1.5 N·m (0.2 kgf-m, 1.1 ft-lb) 2. Install the trim panel - rear gate. 3. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. NOTE |
