DTC DETECTING CONDITION: Detected when two consecutive driving cycles with fault occur. TROUBLE SYMPTOM: TCM EEPROM malfunction
1. OUTLINE OF DIAGNOSIS Diagnosis 1 • Judge the malfunction in EEPROM area of the TCM. • Judge as NG if an attempt to write to EEPROM area failed. Diagnosis 2 • Judge the malfunction in EEPROM area of the TCM. • Judge as malfunction when the consistency in the EEPROM area is lost. 2. EXECUTION CONDITION
3. DIAGNOSTIC METHOD If the duration of time while the following conditions are met is longer than the time indicated, judge as NG.
Time Needed for Diagnosis: Immediately Malfunction Indicator Light Illumination: Illuminates when malfunction occurs in 2 continuous driving cycles. |

Open the key head using a flat-head
screwdriver.
Remove the transmitter case from the key head.
Open the transmitter case by releasing
the hooks.
1) Negative (−) side facing up
Replace the old battery with a new
battery (Type CR1620 or equivalent)
