Subaru Legacy BN/BS (2015-2019) Service Manual / Lubrication(h6do) / Oil cooler / Installation

1. Install the oil cooler to the oil pan upper, and fasten the oil cooler connector.

Tightening torque:

54 N·m (5.5 kgf-m, 39.8 ft-lb)

NOTE:

Use new O-rings.

(D)	Oil pan upper

2. Install the oil filter. Engine Oil Filter > INSTALLATION

3. Install the engine oil cooler water pipe (A), water hose (B) and water hose (C), and connect the water hose (D) to the oil cooler.

Tightening torque:

6.4 N·m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)

4. Install the under cover. Front Under Cover > INSTALLATION

5. Lower the vehicle.

6. Refill the engine oil. Engine Oil > REPLACEMENT

7. Fill the ATF. Engine Coolant > REPLACEMENT

Inspection

1. Check that the engine oil cooler, engine oil cooler pipe, and oil cooler connector do not have deformation, cracks or damage.2. Make sure the engine oil cooler hoses are not cracked, damaged or loo ...
