Subaru Legacy BN/BS (2015-2019) Service Manual / Lubrication(h6do) / Oil pump / Removal

1. Remove the chain cover. Chain Cover > REMOVAL

2. Remove the timing chain assembly. Timing Chain Assembly > REMOVAL

3. Remove the oil pan lower. Oil Pan > REMOVAL

4. Remove the stiffener and the oil pump.

5. Remove the strainer from the oil pump.

6. Remove the O-ring from oil pan upper.

Inspection

• Visually check the oil pump for breakage.• Visually check the strainer portion for clogging. ...
