CAUTION:

• Subaru Select Monitor is required for reading DTC, performing diagnosis and reading current data.

• Remove foreign matter (dust, water, oil, etc.) from the body integrated unit connector during removal and installation.

• Registration of immobilizer may be needed after the replacement of control modules, etc. For detailed procedure, refer to the “REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER” provided as a separate volume.

NOTE:

• To check harness for open or short circuits, shake the suspected trouble spot or connector.

1.CHECK PRE-INSPECTION. Ask the customer when and how the trouble occurred using the interview check list. Check List for Interview	Did you interview the customer-	Basic Diagnostic Procedure > PROCEDURE	Interview the customer.
2.BASIC INSPECTION. Check components which might affect body control. General Description > INSPECTION	Is the component that might influence the body control problem normal-	Basic Diagnostic Procedure > PROCEDURE	Repair or replace each component.
3.CHECK DTC. 1) Read the DTC. Read Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) NOTE: If the communication function of the Subaru Select Monitor cannot be executed properly, check the communication circuit. Subaru Select Monitor > COMMUNICATION FOR INITIALIZING IMPOSSIBLE 2) Record all DTCs, time stamp and freeze frame data. NOTE: For time stamp, refer to “LAN SYSTEM”. General Description > CAUTION	Is DTC displayed on Subaru Select Monitor-	Perform diagnosis according to the DTC. List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Basic Diagnostic Procedure > PROCEDURE	Basic Diagnostic Procedure > PROCEDURE
4.PERFORM GENERAL DIAGNOSTICS. Inspect using the “General Diagnostic Table”. General Diagnostic Table	Is result of inspection OK-	The body control system is normal.	Basic Diagnostic Procedure > PROCEDURE
5.PERFORM DIAGNOSIS. 1) Perform the Clear Memory Mode. Clear Memory Mode 2) Perform the Inspection Mode. Inspection Mode	Is DTC displayed on Subaru Select Monitor-	Perform diagnosis according to the DTC. List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)	Finish the diagnosis.
