Subaru Legacy BN/BS (2015-2019) Service Manual: Dtc c1412 selected parameter

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

A fault is detected if abnormal set value is found on the vehicle model that were given some parameters.

A fault is detected if 0 point setting compensation of the sensor is not yet performed.

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

ABS does not operate.

VDC does not operate.

Hill hold does not function.

EyeSight does not operate. (Models with EyeSight)

NOTE:

When the VDCCM&H/U is replaced, this DTC may be stored.

STEPCHECKYESNO

1.CHECK VDCCM&H/U IDENTIFICATION SYMBOL.

Check the identification symbol attached on the H/U. General Description > SPECIFICATION

Is the identification symbol correct-

Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC C1412 SELECTED PARAMETER

Replace the VDCCM&H/U. VDC Control Module and Hydraulic Control Unit (VDCCM&H/U)

2.CHECK PARAMETER SELECTED IN VDCCM.

VDC Control Module and Hydraulic Control Unit (VDCCM&H/U) > MAINTENANCE MODE

Does the parameter registered in the VDCCM match the relevant vehicle-

Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC C1412 SELECTED PARAMETER

Select and register the correct parameter. VDC Control Module and Hydraulic Control Unit (VDCCM&H/U) > MAINTENANCE MODE

3.CHECK SPECIFICATIONS OF OTHER CONTROL MODULES.

Check the specifications of ECM and TCM.

Are the specifications of ECM and TCM the same as vehicle specification-

Replace the VDCCM&H/U. VDC Control Module and Hydraulic Control Unit (VDCCM&H/U)

Replace the ECM and TCM. Engine Control Module (ECM) Engine Control Module (ECM) Transmission Control Module (TCM) Transmission Control Module (TCM)
