1. Before installation, check the following items. • Rod is free from deformation. • Grease is applied sufficiently to rod joints. If grease is insufficient, add it as necessary before assembling the rod. 2. Install the frame assembly - front door outer. Preparation tool: TORX® T30 Tightening torque: 7.5 N·m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb) Tightening torque: Refer to “COMPONENT” of “General Description”. General Description > COMPONENT 3. Install the spacer - door handle outer. 4. Install the handle - door outer. NOTE: For model with keyless access with push button start, connect the harness clip and exterior antenna (touch sensor) connector. (1) Insert the end of the handle - door outer to the frame assembly - front door outer. (2) Push forward while inserting the rear end of the handle - door outer to the frame assembly - front door outer. 5. Install the cover - handle front outer. CAUTION: When installing the cover - handle front outer on driver’s side, make sure that the key cylinder shaft is correctly inserted into the latch & actuator assembly - front. Preparation tool: TORX® T30 Tightening torque: 7.5 N·m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb) 6. Install the sealing cover - front door. 7. Install the trim panel - front door. Door Trim > INSTALLATION 8.
