1. MID SWITCH CAUTION: Before handling the airbag system components, refer to “CAUTION” of “General Description” in “AIRBAG SYSTEM”. General Description > CAUTION 1. Set the tire to the straight-ahead position. 2. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. NOTE 3. Remove the driver’s airbag module. Driver’s Airbag Module > REMOVAL 4. Remove the steering wheel. Steering Wheel > REMOVAL 5. Remove the MID switch. Steering Wheel > DISASSEMBLY 2. TRIP RESET SWITCH 1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. NOTE 2. Remove the cover assembly - instrument panel LWR driver. Instrument Panel Lower Cover > REMOVAL 3. Remove the visor assembly - lower. (1) Release the clips and claws. (2) Disconnect the connector and remove the visor assembly - lower. CAUTION: • Being careful not to damage the visor assembly - lower, slowly remove the clips and claws one by one from the right and left edges of visor assembly - lower. • When using a clip remover, wrap it with protective tape or cloth.
4. Release the claws, and remove the switch assembly - trip reset.
3. ILLUMINATION CONTROL SWITCH 1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. NOTE 2. Remove the cover assembly - instrument panel LWR driver. Instrument Panel Lower Cover > REMOVAL 3. Release the claws and remove the illumination control switch.
