DIAGNOSIS START CONDITION:

• Battery voltage is 10 V or more.

• The remote engine starter was not used to start the engine.

DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

Defective combination meter

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

• Engine will not start.

• The security indicator illuminates.

CAUTION:

When the combination meter is replaced, registration of the immobilizer system is required. For details, refer to the “REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER” provided as a separate volume.

1.CHECK COMBINATION METER REGISTRATION. 1) Perform the Clear Memory Mode. (Combination meter and body integrated unit) Clear Memory Mode Clear Memory Mode 2) Perform registration of combination meter. Refer to the “REGISTRATION MANUAL FOR IMMOBILIZER” provided as a separate volume. 3) Read the DTC of the body integrated unit. Read Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)	Is DTC B1408 displayed-	Replace the combination meter. Combination Meter	Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again. NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
