DTC DETECTING CONDITION:

Immediately at fault recognition

TROUBLE SYMPTOM:

• Engine does not start.

• Engine stalls.

CAUTION:

After servicing or replacing faulty parts, perform Clear Memory Mode Clear Memory Mode > OPERATION, and Inspection Mode Inspection Mode > PROCEDURE.

1.CHECK FOR ANY OTHER DTC ON DISPLAY.	Is any other DTC displayed-	Check the appropriate DTC using the “List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)”. List of Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)	Even if DTC is detected, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again. NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.

1. OUTLINE OF DIAGNOSIS

Detect the malfunction of microcomputer (RAM).

When there is a problem in the CPU normal RAM, judge as NG.

If it is possible to write data to the whole area of RAM in the initial routine, and is possible to read the same data, it is judged as OK, and if not, NG.

2. EXECUTION CONDITION

3. GENERAL DRIVING CYCLE

Perform the diagnosis as soon as the ignition switch is turned to ON.

4. DIAGNOSTIC METHOD

Judge as NG when the following conditions are established.

Malfunction Indicator Light Illumination: Illuminates as soon as a malfunction occurs.
