CAUTION: • Be sure to use a new flange nut and self-locking nut. • Always tighten the bushing in the state where the vehicle is at curb weight and the wheels are in full contact with the ground. 1. Install the nut of shock mount - rear. Tightening torque: 30 N·m (3.1 kgf-m, 22.1 ft-lb) 2. Lift the lateral link assembly - rear, and temporarily tighten the bolts and nuts. (1) Temporarily tighten the lateral link assembly - rear. (2) Temporarily tighten the bolts on the lower side of the rear shock absorber assembly. (3) Temporarily tighten the rear stabilizer link. 3. Using a jack and a wooden block, apply a load so that the rear drive shaft assembly is level.
4. Tighten the lateral link assembly - rear. Tightening torque: 80 N·m (8.2 kgf-m, 59.0 ft-lb) 5. Tighten the bolts on the lower side of the rear shock absorber assembly. Tightening torque: 120 N·m (12.2 kgf-m, 88.5 ft-lb) 6. Tighten the rear stabilizer link. Tightening torque: 33 N·m (3.4 kgf-m, 24.3 ft-lb) 7. Install the trunk trim panel assembly - side (sedan model) or rear floor mat (OUTBACK model). • Sedan model: Trunk Room Trim > INSTALLATION • OUTBACK model: Install the rear floor mat and the spacer - rear floor mat. 8. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. NOTE 9. Install the rear wheels. Tightening torque: 120 N·m (12.2 kgf-m, 88.5 ft-lb) 10. Check the wheel alignment and adjust it if necessary. Wheel Alignment > INSPECTION CAUTION: When the wheel alignment has been adjusted, perform the following adjustment. – Lane keep assist learning value clear (model with EyeSight): Clear Active Lane Keep System Learning Value > OPERATION – “VSC(VDC) Centering Mode”: VDC Control Module and Hydraulic Control Unit (VDCCM&H/U) > ADJUSTMENT |
