Subaru Legacy BN/BS (2015-2019) Service Manual / Starting charging systems(h4do) / Starter / Installation

1. Install the starter to the transmission, and install the bolts or nuts securing the starter.

NOTE:

• For the MT model, a bolt is used at (a).

• Tighten the starter and bracket (b) together using the upper bolt securing the starter.

Tightening torque:

50 N·m (5.1 kgf-m, 36.9 ft-lb)

2. Install the terminal (B) to the starter, and connect the connector (A).

Tightening torque:

10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m, 7.4 ft-lb)

3. Install the air intake boot. Air Intake Boot > INSTALLATION

4. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. NOTE
