NOTE:

Remove the stopper bolt first when removing the crossbar assembly only.

CAUTION:

Refer to “CAUTION” of “General Description” before handling the airbag system components. General Description > CAUTION

1. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. NOTE

2. Remove the roof trim. Roof Trim > REMOVAL

3. Remove the curtain airbag module. Curtain Airbag Module > REMOVAL

CAUTION:

• When removing and installing the curtain airbag module, observe the operation procedures in the “AIRBAG SYSTEM” section.

• Be careful not to damage the curtain airbag module during removal and installation.

4. Remove the roof rail assembly.

(1) Remove the nut.

(2) Release the rivet on the tip portion, and remove the roof rail assembly.
