CAUTION: • Refer to “CAUTION” of “General Description” before handling the airbag system components. General Description > CAUTION • When the front door impact sensor is removed, always replace it with a new front door impact sensor. If it is reused, sealing capability on the contacting surface of door panel may be insufficient and impact pressure may not be detected correctly. 1. Operate the power window switch to close the front door glass. 2. Turn the ignition switch to OFF. 3. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. NOTE 4. Remove the trim panel - front door. (On the side where airbag door sensor is removed) Door Trim > REMOVAL 5. Remove the sealing cover. Front Sealing Cover > REMOVAL 6. Remove the front door impact sensor. CAUTION: If it is removed with an excessive force, the panel assembly - front door may be deformed. Also, if the clip is damaged, replace it with a new clip. (1) Remove the plate - door (a). (2) Remove the nuts and then remove the front door impact sensor. (3) Pull the lock arm (b) and disconnect the airbag connector to remove the front door impact sensor. Airbag Connector > PROCEDURE
