Subaru Legacy BN/BS (2015-2019) Service Manual / Security and locks / Front hood lock assembly / Adjustment

1. Remove the bumper face - front. Front Bumper > REMOVAL

NOTE:

Remove the bumper face - front only at the first adjustment.

2. Remove the center ring clip from the lock assembly - front hood.

NOTE:

Remove the center ring clip only at the first adjustment.

After adjusting the lock assembly - front hood, dispose the clips since they are no longer needed.

The clips cannot be inserted because the clip holes become smaller due to adjustment.

3. Loosen the nuts through the adjustment window (a) of the lock assembly - front hood, and adjust the lock assembly - front hood while moving it up and down.

CAUTION:

After adjustment, tighten the bolts securely.

Tightening torque:

33 N·m (3.4 kgf-m, 24.3 ft-lb)
