CAUTION:

• Do not start the engine before charging refrigerant.

• If the engine is started with no refrigerant charge, replace the compressor assembly.

• If the condenser has been replaced, add an appropriate amount of compressor oil to the compressor. Compressor Oil > ADJUSTMENT

• Replace the O-rings with new parts, and then apply compressor oil.

1. Install the condenser assembly - air conditioner.

NOTE:

To tighten the bolts at the bottom of the condenser, use the ST.

Preparation tool:

ST: SPECIAL TOOL CONDENSER (73099SG000)

Tightening torque:

Calculation formula

T = L/(100 mm (3.94 in) + L) - 7.5 N·m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

T: Tightening torque

L: Effective length of torque wrench

NOTE:

If the effective length of the torque wrench used is unknown, consult the manufacturer of the torque wrench.

(a) Effective length of the ST

(b) Effective length of the torque wrench

(d) Center of drive angle of the torque wrench

(e) Center of the position where a force is applied by hand

2. Install the radiator upper brackets.

Tightening torque:

12 N·m (1.2 kgf-m, 8.9 ft-lb)

3. Install the hose - pressure discharge and the pipe - evaporator cooling.

Tightening torque:

7.5 N·m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

4. Attach the grille bracket.

5. Install the active grille shutter. (H4 model)

Tightening torque:

7.5 N·m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

6. Install the bumper face - front. Front Bumper > INSTALLATION

7. Install the reservoir tank.

Tightening torque:

7.5 N·m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)

8. Install the air intake duct.

9. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. NOTE

10. Charge refrigerant. Refrigerant Charging Procedure > PROCEDURE

Inspection

1. Check to see that the condenser fins are not clogged with debris or insects. Blow with compressed air or flush fins with water as needed.2. If any oil leak is found from the condenser, replace the ...
