Subaru Legacy BN/BS (2015-2019) Service Manual / Security and locks / Rear lock button / Installation

CAUTION:

Make sure that the harness grommet is securely installed.

If not properly installed, this may cause leaks.

1. Install the rear lock button and the switch - opener rear gate.

2. Install the garnish assembly - rear gate. Rear Gate Garnish > INSTALLATION

Tightening torque

4.5 N·m (0.4 kgf-m, 3.3 ft-lb)

3. Install the trim panel - rear gate. Rear Gate Trim > INSTALLATION

4. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. NOTE

Inspection

1. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, display «Rear gate/Trunk UNLOCK output» from «Data monitor».2. Check if the display changes when the rear lock button is operated.3. If the display is not corre ...
