Subaru Legacy BN/BS (2015-2019) Service Manual / Security and locks / Rear lock button / Removal

NOTE:

• The rear lock button is integrated with the switch - opener rear gate.

• Open the panel - rear gate before disconnecting the ground terminal from battery sensor.

1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. NOTE

2. Remove the trim panel - rear gate. Rear Gate Trim > REMOVAL

3. Remove the garnish assembly - rear gate. Rear Gate Garnish > REMOVAL

4. Remove the rear lock button.

(1) Remove the garnish switch bracket from the garnish assembly - rear gate.

(2) Release the locks at both ends of the button - opener rear gate by pushing them with a flat tip screwdriver, and remove the button - opener rear gate.

(3) Remove the screws and detach the rear lock button.
